Invited workshop: Morbilliviruses
Subject: Spread of pathogens of social animals, with particular reference to the morbilliviruses
When: November 11-12, 2005
Where: 510 Mueller Lab, University Park (map)
Contact: Laura Pomeroy
Objectives
Participants at this invited workshop will:
- Discuss how host social structures and interspecific exposure affects spread, persistence and evolution of specialization in the morbilliviruses (measles, phocine distemper, canine distemper, rindepest)
- Compare different theoretical approaches to modeling viral dynamics, and host social / spatial structures
- Identify useful directions for future collaborative research
