Postdoctoral fellowship in molecular virology and immunology
Postdoctoral research fellowship opening to participate in an integrated project on the temporal and spatial dynamics of cellular innate responses to viral infection and coinfection.
CIDD promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment for the study of disease dynamics at molecular to population levels and the postdoctoral fellow will fully participate in all activities and opportunities.
Candidate should be experienced in:
- microscopy
- mammalian cell culture
- virus propagation
- gene expression
- situ detection of proteins
The applicant must have a strong publication record, be highly motivated, be capable of working independently, and have excellent writing and oral communication skills. A strong background with either mammalian negative-sense RNA viruses or retroviruses and an interest in working with computational scientists is desired.
This position is available September 1, 2009.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
