Research
I am interested in influenza virus evolution and dynamics. I have been exploring evolutionary dynamics in (rates and time of divergence) in:
- Avian influenza A viruses
- Influenza B and C virus, which cause mild disease in humans
By comparing patterns of evolution in these viruses, we aim to identify the evolutionary mechanisms that underlie their distinct evolution and epidemiology.
