Research
I am interested in the the molecular evolution of pathogen strains:
- Host immune-mediated selection on pathogen gene expression
- Cross-species jumps and pathogen adaptation to new hosts
- Immune-mediated and direct competition between pathogen strains
- Evolution of strains through mutations and recombination
