Research
I am interested in the kinetics and evolutionary dynamics of infectious diseases such as influenza and measles. My work focuses on:
- Viral evolution at the molecular and genetic levels; I am using bioinformatic methods to address this from a population dynamics perspective
- Dynamics of viral spread within a host and resulting development of immunity
- Dynamics of infectious disease spread within large populations
