Research interests
I am investigating mechanisms that cause heterogeneities in transmission. These heterogeneities appear to result in key hosts that:
- Harbor a majority of parasites
- Account for a majority of transmission
My research focuses on identifying differences between individuals that create key hosts, including:
- Exposure due to behavior
- Exposure due to body size
- Susceptibility due to immune function
